Li Auto ONE Charging Operation and Electronic Lock Guide

Fault Background

The Li Auto ONE's charging system has two ports—slow charge port (7kW AC) and fast charge port (60kW DC). Slow charging takes about 6 hours to fully charge, while fast charging takes about 30 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%. On-site, the most common errors are not about charging itself but three details: the meaning of the charge port LED indicator (what blue steady, breathing flash, and red steady each represent), the locking/unlocking strategy of the slow charge electronic lock (based on GB/T18487.1, including the two-step operation of the emergency release handle), and the charging limit (80%~100%) and battery thermal preservation settings in the center console's "Charging Management". Charging Ports and Pre-Charging Checks

• The vehicle is equipped with two charging ports: slow charge port and fast charge port;
• Before charging, ensure the vehicle is in Park (P);
• Installing the charging gun: ① Press the rear of the charge port cover to open it → ② Remove the charging dust cap (remove the slow charge dust cap for slow charging, fast charge dust cap for fast charging) → ③ First read the charging equipment's operating guide and check the equipment is intact, then align the charging gun and connect it to the vehicle's charging port; at this point, the charging port and gun are matched.

Charging Status Confirmation: LED and Instrument Cluster

Charge port LED indicator states:

Instrument cluster simultaneously displays: power supply equipment not ready / charging gun not fully inserted / charging in progress / charging complete / charging fault (charging stopped) / not charging, and shows the current set charging limit (e.g., 88%). When ambient temperature is low, the instrument cluster displays "Battery preheating".

If during charging the charge port indicator flashes red: it is recommended to try another charging station; if it still flashes red, stop charging immediately and contact customer service.

Electronic Lock and Emergency Release (Slow Charge)

The slow charge electronic lock's locking/unlocking strategy is based on the relevant requirements for electronic locks in GB/T18487.1: when the charging gun is inserted into the vehicle's charging port, the port locks the gun via an electronic locking device (electronic lock) to ensure charging safety.

• Automatic locking/unlocking: during normal charging, the vehicle control system performs locking/unlocking; when the vehicle is unlocked with a Bluetooth key or smart key, the charging lock function unlocks simultaneously; when the vehicle control system determines the vehicle is in a dangerous state, it will automatically unlock without user operation.
• Emergency release (when the electronic lock fails): Step 1, lift out the emergency release handle cover; Step 2, pull the emergency release handle to unlock the charge port cover.

Removing the Charging Gun and Charging Settings

Gun removal rules:

• After slow charging is complete, the vehicle automatically unlocks the charging gun, and it can be removed directly;
• If you need to stop charging during the process, first unlock the vehicle, then the charging gun can be removed;
• During fast charging or after fast charging is complete, you must stop charging by swiping the card at the fast charging station before removing the charging gun;
• After removing the charging gun, store it properly, install the charging port dust cap, and close the charge port cover until you hear a "click".

Center console settings (Vehicle Settings → Charging Management):

• Charging limit: slide the slider to set the traction battery charging limit, adjustable range 80%~100%;
• Stop charging: select the "Stop Charging" option to stop charging;
• Battery thermal preservation: turn on/off the battery thermal preservation function.

Safety Warnings

• Charging equipment that does not meet national standards may not be able to charge the vehicle; excessively high or low ambient temperatures, using the air conditioning, and cold winter conditions will extend charging time.

Maintenance Insights

The most valuable part of this charging chapter is a set of "state language": blue steady = equipment not ready/stopped/complete, blue breathing flash = charging in progress, red steady = charging fault, both off = not charging—first read the light language, then compare with the instrument cluster information (not fully inserted, preheating, limit 88%). Many "can't charge" issues are actually just not fully inserted or equipment not ready.
